Jesus set one standard, and one only, for those who would follow Him: “Disciples who observed all He commanded.” Yet for all the preaching, teaching, and activities found in our modern religious construct, the polls reveal we are failing to achieve that standard in over 90% of the lives of Christian men. Jesus found this same problem in His day and proclaimed His mission was to “the lost sheep of God’s house.” Religion seeks to keep men pacified, thinking they are fulfilling their spiritual responsibilities while at the same time failing to make disciples of them. This leaves those claiming Christ literally “lost in God’s house” and asleep to the literal kingdom of heaven on earth Jesus embodied and brought to us. It is our mission to help the millions of men now languishing in the pews of our temples across our Laodicean landscape to reconnect with the same Jesus who led others like them out of their temples so long ago, and into that kingdom which will forever change their lives!
Reconnections Ministries seeks the reawakening of Christian men, because if “God’s House” is to again be brought out of the world and into the kingdom, He will use mighty men to do it. This is a battle for our minds, and we need to, as Paul said, “Be transformed by their renewing” if we want to “no longer be conformed to [the kingdom of] this world” (Rom. 12). God ordained us to lead yet we have fallen to the curse of Adam: apathy and abandonment of our high calling by tempting us with his offerings. We believe God is orchestrating current events around the world to cry out, “The time is short! Awaken, O sleepers and arise from the dead that Christ [and His kingdom] might shine on you” (Eph. 5)! This will only happen if we hear and accept the original message of Jesus when He came to earth, “Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4).
