Again, “repent”was the first of the nine words that changed everything because, where God is concerned, it is the first word that always changes everything. In the Greek it means to think differently, reconsider, or to change one’s mind or course. It’s a mind thing. Coming to an understanding of the reality of a literal kingdom of heaven on earth takes nothing less than a complete and transformative change of perspective, for the battle to enter the kingdom is fought in the mind.

Not that the heart isn’t important, and once the battle for transformation is won, many good things will happen in the heart. But we do not feel our way into the kingdom. No, the battleground for citizenship in the kingdom of heaven is fought with the will (the soul). All our experiences, both good and bad, and what has influenced us in life come together to form our perspective. If our perspective is not correct, we will see everything in a false light and remain lost. It is, therefore, our mind that must change resulting in a different perspective.
