Pray… O Lord, in Your strength there is gladness and in Your salvation there is reason to rejoice! So many times, You have given me my heart’s desire. Yes, You have granted me everything pertaining to life and godliness. You have met me with the blessings of good things here on this earth and promised to one day set a crown of fine gold upon my head! I asked eternal life of You and You gave it to me, and now my days in Your presence shall know no end. My glory is rooted in Your abiding love, and You have granted to me riches and majesty kings of this earth shall never know. You have made me most blessed forever by paying my debt and then sending the Spirit to me. Now Your joy is in me and my joy has been made full! You have given me gladness of heart in Your constant and merciful care.
Increase my faith in You, Lord Jesus, for I know standing in Your grace I will not be shaken. You will deal with all Your enemies and reveal all who reject You. They will obtain their just due in the time of Your judgment, cast into outer darkness and consumed in everlasting fire! Vengeance will be Yours as You bring the offspring of evil among the sons of men to nothing. Though the worldly conspire, rebelling against You and devising wicked plans, they will not be victorious. You will turn back the rebellious and hard-hearted. As they fly from Your bowstring, Your arrows will aim at and pierce the schemes of man. Be exalted therefore in Your mighty strength, O my Lord and my God! Let me forever sing of and praise Your might!
Consider…Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. If we’ll but discipline ourselves to obedience and seek His kingdom, it will eventually lead us to righteousness, peace, and His abiding love where we can experience God’s fullest for us. We can go into battle with His blessings against an enemy who incurs only His wrath. Our Lord’s mighty hand will seek out the darkness and destroy its deceptions when we trust in Him and walk in His divine plan for us. While Satan may be able at times to gain small victories, he will not be able to win the war for our souls when we stand resolute in our faith. As we set our faces like flint towards the heavens, Jesus is ever-ready to meet us with the battle plan that brings Him glory! Experiencing the agonies of defeat and the thrills of victory while passionately pursuing God’s plan is what experiencing the kingdom of heaven right here on earth is all about!
